Pass Programs

The Dougherty County Public Library has passes to a number of area museums and attractions that we loan out for a period of days.

With your Dougherty County Public Library card in good standing, you can borrow the Artesian Alliance Pass from any branch of the Dougherty County Public Library. The pass is good for free admission at Chehaw, Flint RiverQuarium, and Thronateeska Heritage Center for up to two (2) adults and up to four (4) children under 18, (children under 3 are free).  Must be used within seven (7) days of check-out of the pass. Any Georgian who holds a valid library card can borrow a Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites “ParkPass” from their local libraries. The State Park passes are good for free parking at any of Georgia's state parks and historic sites.  The Historic Site family Pass allows for two (2) free adminissions into any of Georgia's historic sites.  The passes can only be checked out for seven (7) days, but only used once per day, per site.   Passes can only be checked out once every four months.   For more information, please visit GAStateParks.org

Purchase a fishing license, fish at a fully stocked pond, explore the freshwater aquarium, tour their hatchery that keeps rivers statwide stocked and flourishing with native fish species, or partake in wildlife conservation awareness classes.

Check out the Go Fish Education Center Library Pass, an educational and fun opportunity for the entire family! The pass provides free entry for up to four (4) visitors, can be checked out for seven (7) days, and only checked out once every six months.   The Center is located on the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry, GA. Michael C. Carlos Museum

The Michael C. Carlos Museum and Georgia Public Library Service invites families to “spend the day a world away” at the Carlos Museum in Atlanta. With the Georgia Public Libraries family pass six (6) people will be admitted to the Michael C. Carlos Museum at no charge. Pass holders may be required to show identification. Check out the Georgia Public Libraries’ Passport to Puppetry at your local branch for free museum admissions and special show and workshop discounts for your family! The passport is valid for up to four (4) Museum admissions OR receive a discount on an All-Inclusive Ticket  By using the code LIBRARY, patrons may prepurchase their All-Inclusive ticket online in advance of their visit at www.puppet.org/buy-tickets.

An All-Inclusive ticket it for one (1) person and includes:  a Family Series Performance, a Create-A-Puppet Workshop, and the admission to the Museum.

Check out, watch, and return Zoo Atlanta Wild Explorer : History of Zoo Atlanta DVD to receive a receipt to visit Zoo Atlanta for free. The receipt is completed and signed by a representative of a Georgia public library. Bring it and your valid library card to Zoo Atlanta seven days a week (omitting black out dates) to receive free general admission to Zoo Atlanta for up to four (4) people (no age requirement). DVD must be returned to the loaning library. Free admission offer is valid for one-time use within four weeks of the date of return shown on the receipt. Only the original, signed receipt will be accepted by Zoo Atlanta. No photocopies or altered receipts will be honored. To get the most up-to-date information and a list of blackout days visit Know Before You Visit page.

The zoo pass may not be used on the following days: April 3-7, May 29, July 4, September 4, October 9, November 23, December 25.

The DVD is only to be checked out once per year per household.  Viewing parties of the DVD are prohibited.  The DVD can only be checked out for seven (7) days.

Chattahoochee Nature Center

With the pass, patrons gain admission all day to CNC to enjoy picnicking, hiking trails, family fun days, aviaries with wild birds, concerts, and plenty of activities for all ages. CNC is open seven days a week, year-round. During summer months, CNC’s popular Butterfly Encounter is open every day, allowing guests to walk among hundreds of butterflies.

The family pass is good for four (4) free admissions to the Center.  The pass only covers general admission,  it does not cover special events or exhibits.  The passes can be used during normal operating hours.  The pass can be checked out for seven (7) days.  The pass can only be checked out once every four months per family.  The Chattahoochee nature Center reserves the right to mimit the Pass to one use per family per day.

The Center regularly posts educational videos on their Facebook page.   The CNC is partnering with the Georgia Forestry Commission Foundation on extra resources accessible by signing up at the At-Home Educational Resources link towards the middle of the page.

Use your library card to check out a pass, good for four people to get free general admission to Chattahoochee Nature Center’s 127 acre site in Roswell.

The William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum

The Breman Museum in Atlanta is home to the permanent exhibition Absence of Humanity: The Holocaust Years, 1933-1945; the Blonder Family Gallery dedicated to Southern Jewish History; and the Schwartz Gallery, which hosts a variety of traveling and rotating exhibitions. The Museum Library and Cuba Family Archives add to our on-site offerings while The Weinberg Center for Holocaust Education provides a wonderful educational resource for students, teachers, and lifelong learners.

The Breman website is full of resources on Jewish heritage, especially in relation to Georgia, and people can access their Archived Events to watch videos of or read more about their events.

Visit the Breman’s website for hours as they may be different than what is printed on the pass and are subject to change.  The Family Pass is a library Loan program. When checked out and taken to the Breman, the Pass is good for four (4) free admissions to the museum.  The Family Pass is for general admission only and is not valid for special events or exhibits.  The Family Pass has a circulation period of seven (7) days.

Macon Museum Pass

With the Macon Museum Pass, you can visit the Museum of Arts and SciencesTubman Museum, and Georgia Sports Hall of Fame. You’ll  have access to a rich history of cultural, scientific, artistic and athletic achievement through exhibits featuring rare artifacts, artwork, and educational programming.  

The Macon Museum Pass admits up to four (4) people to the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame, Museum of Arts and Sciences, and Tubman Museum.  The Family Pass is for general admission only and is not valid for special events or exhibits.  The Macon Museum Pass has a circulation period of seven (7) days.

Alliance Theatre

The Alliance Theatre is Atlanta’s national theater, expanding hearts and minds onstage and off. Founded in 1968, the Alliance Theatre is the leading producing theater in the Southeast, reaching more than 165,000 patrons annually. The Alliance delivers powerful programming that challenges adult and youth audiences to think critically and care deeply.

Patrons check out the Pass and use the code on the Pass to purchase tickets at alliancetheatre.org. The promo code is entered before selecting the desired performance date on the Alliance Theatre website and should be entered in the right-hand corner of the screen. Tickets for performances are available on a first come, first serve basis.  The Community Ticket Pass MUST be presented at the Alliance Theatre along with the ticket receipt to the performance.  The Pass is valid for productions on the Hertz or Coca-Cola stages ONLY.  The pass may not be used for other performances, classes, camps, programming, or events.  Renewing the Pass does not allow for an additional set of tickets.  Limit of one (1) performance per checkout.  Check out period is seven (7) days.

Shakespeare Tavern

Since the opening of The Shakespeare Tavern® Playhouse on Peachtree Street in 1990, ASC has produced Shakespeare's entire 39 play canon twice, plus over 20 period classics by the likes of Aristophanes, G.B Shaw, Mrs. Aphra Behn, Jean Racine, Christopher Marlowe, Jean Anouilh, Ryunosuke Akutagwa, Niccolo Machiavelli, Albert Camus, Jean Genet, Tennessee Williams, Moliere, Bertolt Brecht, Jean Cocteau, and Thornton Wilder and a handful of fun musicals such as A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Cabaret and Hamlet, The Musical!.

The Family Theatre Pass allows for up to four (4) free tickets to a performance at the Shakespeare Tavern.  Or it can be used for four (4) free box seat tickets to a tiered seating performance.  The Family Theatre Pass MUST be presented at the Shakespeare Tavern Box Office to receive free tickets.  All tickets redeemed using the Family Theatre Pass are for general admissions ONLY and may not be used for special events or food or beverages. Other restrictions may apply.  Tickets are available on first-come, first-serve basis and may not be available for closing weekend performances or non-Atlanta Shakespeare Company productions, such as companies renting the Playhouse.  Free tickets may not be transferred to someone else.  The Pass has a circulation period of seven (7) days.  Tickets available through the Pass are ONLY available within the fourteen (14) day circulation period, so patrons MAY NOT select a performance any further out than those fourteen (14) days the pass is available.  There is a limit of one (1) performance per circulation. Renewing the Pass does not allow for an additional performance.
