We have an extensive collection of genealogical materials to assist you in family history research: county histories; handbooks; federal censuses, including the 1930 census; death registers; deeds; church records; and more. Popular local and state resources include Albany and Southwest Georgia obituaries and Georgia Censuses 1820 – 1930. Our Genealogy Department is located on the 3rd floor of the Central Library and the phone number is 229-420-3244.
